Zak Taylor returns to Chris Dittmann Racing for 2023 GB3 Championship campaign

Chris Dittmann Racing is pleased to announce that Zak Taylor will be returning to the team for a full GB3 Championship campaign in 2023.

The 20-year-old impressed the Tewkesbury-based outfit last season, having made a late switch to race in the final two weekends of the championship with Chris Dittmann Racing, scoring three top ten finishes in six races.

After building a strong working relationship with the team through those two meetings, the young Brit will be looking to continue the positive momentum into 2023, with the hopes of collecting some silverware after claiming a maiden series podium at Spa-Francorchamps last time out.

Zak joins young French rookie Arthur Rogeon this season, where his previous experience in the Tatuus MSV-022 GB3 car will certainly be to his advantage, as well as setting a benchmark for Arthur in his development year.

With the opening round at Oulton Park (April 7-10) just over four weeks away, Zak and the team will be hard at work both on and off track in preparation for the season ahead, aiming to hit the ground running in Cheshire.

Zak Taylor

“I’m very excited to see what this season holds. I competed with the team for the final two rounds of the GB3 Championship last year, and the car was mega, everyone was great to work with, and the results spoke for themselves. Those two rounds I did with Chris Dittmann Racing were miles better than rest of the season I had, and it definitely highlighted my strengths, as well as the teams’, so I think we’re a great match.

“We have been in close contact with Chris over the winter, and I’ve been going in to practice on the simulator every week. I didn’t look anywhere else, I only wanted to race with Chris, so I’m really excited to have finally signed for a full campaign this year. The aim for this season is to do some pot hunting. Last season we were quick, and we’re only going to get better. We all work together really well and know each other’s strengths, so I definitely think we have the potential to be in the fight.”

Chris Dittmann, Team Owner

“We’re really pleased to have Zak with us for a full season, after he showed great potential in the rounds he did with us last year. We’re happy that we were able to provide an environment where he could thrive after he had a bit of a disappointing year up until that point. He showed vast improvements after joining the team so we’re excited for what we can achieve together this year.”
