Chris Dittmann Racing was in Kent at the weekend (September 28/29), with a three-car line up of debutant Tom Mills, James Hedley, and Seb Murray contesting the final rounds of the GB3 Championship at Brands Hatch. After free practice on Friday around the Indy circuit, there was a shorter extra session on Saturday morning on the Grand Prix layout, to give everyone a final few laps to familiarise themselves with the full circuit, as testing is limited. Shortly after it was time for qualifying where all three cars showed their quick pace in the opening stages of the session. However,[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing is delighted to announce that reigning GB4 Championship title holder Tom Mills will join the team for his GB3 Championship debut, at Brands Hatch over September 28/29. The 18-year-old who, like the team, is from Gloucestershire, took ten wins on his way to last year’s GB4 title – a 50% success rate. He scored his maiden series victories at the end of the 2022 season, and prior to that, was rookie champion in the National Formula Ford Championship. Those successes also meant Tom has received recognition as a British Racing Drivers Club Rising Star and a Motorsport[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing showed its promise on what was a tricky visit to Donington Park in the GB3 Championship at the weekend (September 7/8). With two days of test sessions to prepare, Seb Murray worked his way up the finishing order, as did Jacob Douglas – returning for his second meeting with the team. Unfortunately, there was bad news overnight on Thursday, as Flynn Jackes suffered a broken leg in a traffic incident, which will rule him out of any further racing action in 2024. We wish him a speedy recovery and send our thanks to the University Hospital Coventry[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing and the GB3 Championship can confirm that driver Flynn Jackes was involved in a road traffic collision on his way home from Donington Park circuit on Thursday, September 5th. Unfortunately, Flynn suffered a broken leg in the incident, and is due to undergo surgery, which will subsequently rule him out of any further racing action in the 2024 season. Everyone at Chris Dittmann Racing and across the GB3 Championship paddock wishes Flynn a speedy recovery and hopes to see him back at a racetrack as soon as possible, while also expressing thanks to the University Hospital Coventry[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing made a return to the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit at the weekend (July 26-28), showing good race pace in the GB3 Championship. The team had an expanded three-car line up for the meeting, with New Zealander Jacob Douglas making his debut in the series, joining full-season teammates Flynn Jackes and Seb Murray. After testing and practice sessions on Thursday and Friday, the three drivers jumped in their cars for qualifying on Saturday morning where Seb finished 14th, Jacob 21st, and Flynn was close behind in 22nd after a weight imbalance in the car affected its handling. There[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing is very happy to announce that Jacob Douglas will join the team for a pair of GB3 Championship meetings, beginning this weekend at Silverstone (July 25-28). The teenager, from Christchurch in New Zealand, has been racing since he was eight years old, and by the time he was 15, he was a four-time New Zealand Karting Champion. He made his car racing debut that same year, becoming Rookie Champion in South Island Formula Ford, and took second and third place finishes in a one-off appearance in Formula Pro USA. Competing in USF2000 in 2022, Jacob quickly adapted,[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing enjoyed a top-10 finish in the GB3 Championship at the weekend (July 12-14), but it was a case of what might have been for the team as bad luck blighted its results. After warm and sunny tests on Thursday, conditions turned cool, wet, and breezy for Friday’s practices, with that weather remaining for qualifying early on Saturday morning, making it difficult for drivers Seb Murray and Flynn Jackes. It was dry ahead of the first race of the weekend that afternoon, though rain fell on the formation lap and throughout, making some corners slippery and difficult as[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing travelled to the Hungaroring in Hungary at the weekend (June 21-23) but had to battle through the races after tight margins in qualifying left lots for the drivers to do. Adding GB3 Championship returnee Javier Sagrera to its full season line-up of Seb Murray and Flynn Jackes, all three had practice sessions across Thursday and Friday to familiarise themselves with the circuit ahead of qualifying on Saturday morning. The morning running was delayed due to storms and rain moving through the region overnight, and when the cars finally were released, it was another closely fought session where[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing enjoyed a strong visit to Spa-Francorchamps this weekend (May 31-June 2) as the team showed front-running pace and collected four top-10 finishes for its efforts. The expanded line up of Seb Murray, Flynn Jackes, and debutant Kanato Le made the most of three practice sessions on Friday, with every kind of weather thrown at them before qualifying, which took place on a fully dry track, later that afternoon. Seb finished 10th fastest, while Kanato was 14th but just one second from pole on his debut, with Flynn just behind. Conditions were damp ahead of Saturday’s opening race,[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing is delighted to announce that Kanato Le will be joining the team for the upcoming GB3 Championship races at Spa-Francorchamps. The 16-year-old Japanese racer has already bagged plenty of experience despite his young age, managing the transition from karts – where he finished second in the 2020 IAME Euro Series and the 2021 IAME Winter Series – to cars with ease. Moving to Europe, he started at 14 in the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2022, scoring two wins, five podiums, and one pole position as he ended as the Rookie runner up. He switched to single seaters[…..]
