Chris Dittmann Racing is delighted to announce that reigning GB4 Championship title holder Tom Mills will join the team for his GB3 Championship debut, at Brands Hatch over September 28/29.
The 18-year-old who, like the team, is from Gloucestershire, took ten wins on his way to last year’s GB4 title – a 50% success rate. He scored his maiden series victories at the end of the 2022 season, and prior to that, was rookie champion in the National Formula Ford Championship.
Those successes also meant Tom has received recognition as a British Racing Drivers Club Rising Star and a Motorsport UK Academy Team UK Futures Year 2 member, as well as being named as one of the 10 finalists for the 2023 Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award.
Tom has fond memories of the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit, as he secured the GB4 title at the Kent venue last September but is also under no illusion that it will be a steep learning curve in what is a fiercely contest championship.
He and teammate Seb Murray will have a short practice session, before qualifying and race one of the weekend on Saturday, September 28th. The final two contests of the 2024 season will take place the following day, with all three races shown live on the MSVTV channel on YouTube, or the official website.
Tom Mills
“I’ve been out of racing for a year and didn’t think I would get the chance to race in the GB3 Championship. I thought the step would be too big as we can’t self-fund it, but using the prize money from winning the GB4 title last year we’ve been able to put something together to be able to compete at Brands Hatch.
“Motorsport is a funny world, and you can be forgotten quite quickly, so it will be nice to get my face back out there. Brands is where I won the GB4 Championship last year, so it is a place I like a lot.
“It’s going to be a big step, and I am right in at the deep end. I am a bit under-prepared, but I will give it my all and there’s no pressure. Everyone else has done the whole season and will be on the top of their game – and quite a lot are second year drivers – so I am happy just to be able to have this opportunity.”

“We’re very happy to welcome Tom to the team and help him make his GB3 Championship debut. He’s an excellent racer who’s not been able to show what he can do this year, so it will be good to see him on the grid. The team is about helping young drivers develop, grow, and step forward, so while there will be lots going on across the weekend, we’ll continue to do all we can to make it a successful one.”
