Karting champion Flynn Jackes to make GB3 Championship return with Chris Dittmann Racing

Chris Dittmann Racing is excited to announce that Filipino-Australian driver Flynn Jackes will be joining the team, to race in the GB3 Championship for the 2024 season.

Flynn enjoyed a successful karting career spanning Asia and Australia, and in 2012, the then nine-year-old became Mini-ROK Champion in the Philippines, defending his title the following year.

After moving to Australia in 2015, Flynn went on to race at KF3 level in the Australian Karting Championship and Queensland Kart Championship where he continued to show great pace and potential, until he took the big step to come to the UK, jumping on the opportunity to complete three races in the GB3 Championship in 2021.

For 2024, Flynn, who is a Hitech Academy Driver, is poised to make his return to the championship. He now faces the challenge of reacquainting himself with the competitive field and the updated Tatuus MSV-022 machine after a two-season hiatus.

Ready for the challenge however, Flynn will take on a busy programme of testing with the team and will benefit from an in-depth training regime both on and off track.

The 2024 GB3 Championship season is set to kick off at Oulton Park over the weekend of March 30/April 01, and will take in 24 races over eight weekends. The addition of a third international weekend will help to further establish the series as the UK’s premier single-seater category.

Flynn Jackes

“I’m happy to announce that I will be competing in the GB3 Championship with CDR for the 2024 season. It’s a great opportunity to race in such a competitive Championship and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do.”

Chris Dittmann, Team Owner

“It’s brilliant to welcome Flynn to the team as he showed a lot of potential when he raced in the GB3 Championship back in 2021.

“The championship has progressed a lot since then but we’re confident we have the right tools to help Flynn continue to develop as a driver. We’re looking forward to pre-season testing, and hopefully a strong season together.”
