Double podium delight for Chris Dittmann Racing at Spa-Francorchamps

Chris Dittmann Racing enjoyed its best weekend of the season so far as the GB3 Championship visited the fabled Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium at the weekend (July 22-24) as Branden Oxley and McKenzy Cresswell claimed podium finishes. Both cars performed well during Friday’s test sessions and that form continued into qualifying, as Branden ran towards the top of the field for much of the session, before being shuffled down in the closing stages, though his efforts would mean he lined up on the front row for the second race. McKenzy was consistent, recording the sixth quickest time for both contests, leaving[…..]

Hat-trick of top ten finishes for Chris Dittmann Racing at Snetterton

Chris Dittmann Racing claimed a hat-trick of top ten finishes in the GB3 Championship at the weekend (June 25/26) as McKenzy Cresswell and Branden Oxley battled a close and competitive field at Snetterton. After a promising test at Silverstone before the race weekend, where the team confirmed that the cars have good pace, things continued in pre-event testing at the Norfolk venue, especially on older tyre runs. Sadly, come qualifying on Saturday morning, with the field so closely matched, despite both drivers being within 0.8s of pole, they would line up 12th and 14th. It was McKenzy, in 14th, who[…..]

Podium reward on difficult GB3 Championship weekend for Chris Dittmann Racing

Chris Dittmann Racing claimed a first podium finish of the season in the GB3 Championship on a weekend (May 28/29) which proved taxing for both team and drivers, as the series travelled to Donington Park. It was tough from the get-go for the team, as both drivers surprisingly struggled for the ultimate pace across two days of testing held before the event, which unfortunately continued into the weekend itself, McKenzy qualifying 12th for race one and Branden 19th. Both drivers fared well in the opening contest, avoiding opening lap dramas to make up a number of places, McKenzy up five[…..]

Strong finish to tricky weekend for Chris Dittmann Racing at Silverstone

Chris Dittmann Racing continued its positive start to the GB3 Championship season with further point scoring finishes at the weekend (May 7/8), as the series had three races on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit. Qualifying was competitive, with the top ten drivers finishing within one second of each other, and after an unlucky session for both drivers, the races would be an upward battle for the team. A technical issue for Branden Oxley resulted in decreased run time for the Thai/British racer, though he refused to give in and pushed to record the 12th quickest time, while McKenzy Cresswell struggled[…..]

Chris Dittmann Racing begins GB3 Championship season with quintet of top-ten finishes

Chris Dittmann Racing began the 2022 GB3 Championship season with a strong weekend at Oulton Park, recording five top-ten finishes – with two top-five results – giving both drivers and the team a good boost for the rest of the year. At a venue which is both spectacular but also tricky on which to cleanly overtake, qualifying was going to be extremely important. With the top 15 cars finishing the session within one and a half seconds of each other, small gains would pay dividends. There was drama for Branden Oxley at the start of the 20-minute qualifying session as[…..]

2022 PREVIEW: “We’re working hard to achieve the very best we can.”

After an extensive pre-season testing programme, Chris Dittmann Racing is excited to begin competition in both the GB3 Championship and, for the first time, in the F4 British Championship over the next couple of weekends. A regular entrant in what is now known as the GB3 Championship since 2013, the team has claimed 15 race wins in that time, with Ayrton Simmons finishing third in the standings in 2019 and following up with the runner up spot last year. This year the series has introduced the brand-new Tatuus MSV-022 car, which produces around 25% more downforce while adding safety features[…..]

F4 title challenger McKenzy Cresswell graduates to GB3 with Chris Dittmann Racing

Multiple British F4 race-winner McKenzy Cresswell will join Chris Dittmann Racing as he steps up to the GB3 Championship partnered by the BRDC in 2022. The 15-year-old won six British F4 races in 2021, two more than any other driver, with five additional podiums on his way to third overall in the standings in his first car racing campaign. Finishing just 26 points away from the eventual champion and just a solitary point away from the runner-up, Cresswell’s first victory came at Oulton Park after a dominant performance that saw him take the flag five seconds clear of the opposition.[…..]

Branden Oxley remains with CDR for new-look GB3 campaign

Chris Dittmann Racing is excited to confirm that Branden Oxley will remain with the team for the 2022 GB3 Championship season. The Anglo-Thai driver made his series debut with the team at Snetterton in August and made an immediate impression by qualifying fifth, despite it being his first taste of driving the car in the wet and his first visit to the Snetterton circuit. In all, Oxley banked six top-10 finishes in his half season, finished every race and very nearly claimed a podium finish at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit in August. Before his GB3 debut, the 17-year-old had[…..]

CDR secure championship runner-up spot with Simmons as GB3 campaign ends on a high

Chris Dittmann Racing ended the 2021 GB3 Championship campaign on a high note at Donington Park last weekend (16-17 October), with Ayrton Simmons securing the runner-up spot in the driver’s championship standings while Branden Oxley and Alex Fores took their best results of the year. Simmons went into the event with a three point margin over his nearest contenders, but strong results in all three races meant he extended that gap to 10 points, securing the runner-up spot in the standings, his highest finish in the championship. Oxley took home a best result of fourth in the first race of[…..]

CDR aiming to end GB3 season on a high at Donington Park

Chris Dittmann Racing expands to a three car line-up for the final round of the 2021 GB3 Championship at Donington Park this weekend (16-17 October). The Tewkesbury-based team welcomes Alex Fores back to the squad for the first time since the season opener at Brands Hatch in May, with the 2020 F3 Cup runner-up joining Ayrton Simmons and Branden Oxley in the line-up. CDR heads to Donington for the second time this year, with an outside chance of taking the championship title with Ayrton Simmons. Oxley will aim for maiden podium on his fourth weekend of UK motorsport, while Fores[…..]
