CDR British F3 season kicks off this weekend

Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR) will kick off its BRDC British Formula 3 Championship campaign at Oulton Park this weekend (15 and 17 April), with a three-race Easter programme at the Cheshire circuit. CDR’s three-pronged attack for the weekend comprises Kenya’s Jeremy Wahome, Frenchman Tristan Charpentier, and returning race-winner Omar Ismail. CDR signs Tristan Charpentier ahead of BRDC British F3 opening round

Gloucestershire motor racing team Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR) has added French driver Tristan Charpentier to its line-up for the opening round of the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship at Oulton Park this weekend (15-17 April). The 16-year-old joins CDR following a strong performance in the French Formula 4 Championship last year, where he finished fifth in the final standings in a race-winning campaign. His graduation to BRDC F3 for this weekend marks his debut in British single-seater racing, though he has previous experience of competing the country from the Ginetta Junior Championship. Phillip Jeans completes CDR’s F3 Cup line-up

Chris Dittmann Racing finalised its new-look F3 Cup line-up with the signing of championship newcomer Phillip Jeans for the 2017 season. Norfolk-based Jeans will pilot a Mercedes-powered Dallara F312 in the single-seater series, joining up-and-coming Irishman Cian Carey and Monoposto race-winner Peter Venn at the Tewkesbury squad. Series race-winner Ismail rejoins CDR for BRDC F3

Omar Ismail has rejoined Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR) for a full-season return to single-seaters in BRDC British Formula 3. Ismail, 17, scored CDR’s maiden victory in the series in 2015, winning at Snetterton before the championship changed its name to BRDC British F3. He returned to the Tewkesbury-based squad at the end of 2016 having spent the season on the sidelines, scoring strongly inside the top 10 at the final rounds at Donington Park. Jeremy Wahome re-signs for 2017 British F3

Kenyan racer Jeremy Wahome will contest his second season of the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship with Chris Dittmann Racing in 2017, with podiums the target. Wahome made his European racing debut with the Tewkesbury-based team last season, acclimatising to the UK circuits under CDR’s tutelage. In a rapidly improving year the 18-year-old scored a best-placed finish of ninth on the demanding Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, and wrapped up the season with a 10th at Donington Park. Single-seater front-runner Venn joins CDR

Chris Dittmann Racing has signed 2011 Monoposto champion Peter Venn for the 2017 season of F3 Cup. Venn will partner the up-and-coming Cian Carey in a new look three-car CDR team in the championship, with the third driver to be announced soon. Venn will pilot the Mercedes-powered Dallara F308/11 previously driven by Stuart Wiltshire in the championship, which took him to second in the standings in 2015 including a win at Spa.
