It was a mixed weekend for Chris Dittmann Racing’s international trio at a sunny Rockingham Motor Speedway, Northamptonshire, in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship on April 30-May 1. Quinlan Lall enjoyed a good and consistent weekend, his best of the season so far. The American secured a brace of top-10 finishes, claiming a close 10th in races one and three. Chris Dittmann Racing returned to F3 Cup action with a brace of podiums for drivers Stuart Wiltshire, Tony Bishop and team newcomer Malcolm Scott at Donington Park. The trio combined to leave the Tewkesbury-based reigning champions in second place in the F3 Cup Teams’ Championship. Wiltshire picked up where he left off 2015 – when he finished runner-up in the Drivers’ Championship – by collecting a battling podium in the opening race of the three-event weekend. Following another improved outing in BRDC British F3 at Brands Hatch a fortnight ago, Chris Dittmann Racing is looking to continue its momentum when the championship resumes at Rockingham Motor Speedway on April 30-May 1. Indian racer Krishnaraaj Mahadik made his championship debut at Brands Hatch in rounds four, five and six and instantly impressed, claiming a brilliant top-six finish in the third and final race of the weekend from 15th on the grid. The 2016 F3 Cup season gets underway at Donington Park National this weekend (April 23-24), with Chris Dittmann Racing determined to retain its Teams’ Championship crown. Stuart Wiltshire and Tony Bishop remain for the Tewkesbury-based team, with Malcolm Scott joining them under the CDR banner for the new season. The trio will race three times as part of the F3 Cup opening weekend. Wiltshire will compete in the same Mercedes-powered Dallara F308 that he raced to second placed second in the standings in the 2015 Drivers’ Championship.
