CDR gunning for success as BRDC British F3 heads to Brands Hatch

Chris Dittmann Racing’s (CDR) BRDC British F3 Championship squad will race at the legendary Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit this weekend (5-6 August). As the championship heads towards its final stages, the CDR charge is nicely poised, with its drivers challenging for top ten placings in the championship.

Young Briton Omar Ismail leads CDR’s championship challenge, and he currently sits 10th in the standings after a promising year with the Tewkesbury squad. CDR has given Ismail a car which has challenged for wins, finished on the podium, and achieved strong points scores in every race it has finished this year.

Ismail finished on the podium in BRDC F4 with CDR back in 2015, so there is plenty of reason to be optimistic about his chances this weekend.

Kenya’s Jeremy Wahome will continue to partner Ismail this weekend, following what has thus far been a much improved season. Wahome has finished in the points in every race in which he’s made it to the chequered flag, and achieved the best results of his career to date with CDR.

The CDR cars will take to the full former Grand Prix venue for qualifying and an opening race of the weekend on Saturday, before two further races on Sunday to complete a triple-header weekend.

Team Principal Chris Dittmann said: “I always look forward to coming back to Brands Hatch and I’m hopeful that we can achieve some competitive results this weekend. It’s been a funny old year so far, but we’ve given the drivers a car which can challenge for the podium and we’re due a bit of good luck.

“Omar is still in with a chance of a very high finishing position in the championship, and Jeremy has improved not just since last season, but as the year has progressed. Both drivers have shown that they can fight towards the front in our cars and there’s no reason we can’t leave Brands with another handy points haul.”
