GT racer Dominic Paul joins CDR for 2020 MSVR F3 Cup

Chris Dittmann Racing are pleased to announce that experienced GT racer Dominic Paul is their next signing for the 2020 MSVR F3 Cup season.

The Surrey-based driver makes the switch to single-seaters after campaigning the British GT Championship in 2019 with a Century Motorsport-run BMW M6 GT3.

Paul has also previously contested the prestigious 24 Hours of Dubai endurance race, finishing fourth last season among the GT4 runners, as well as appearances in the 24H GT Series Championship of the Continents and 24H TCE Series.

In 2016, he won the GT Cup Championship in Group A with an impressive 13 victories.

He will contest the highly-competitive, seven-event calendar in a Dallara-Mercedes F3, with his team mates set to be announced in due course.

The calendar includes trips to several of the UK’s most-challenging venues, including Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Snetterton.

The new season begins at Donington Park (National) on 4/5 April.

“I’m delighted to be racing in the MSVR F3 Cup this year,” commented Paul.

“It’s a great championship, Formula 3 cars are very quick and fantastic to drive and Chris Dittmann Racing is a top team.

“I really enjoyed the British GT Championship last year, but I’m looking forward to learning in F3, it’s great training for me for the future.”

Team Principal Chris Dittmann was pleased to welcome Paul to the fold and believes winter testing has put the partnership on the front foot heading to Donington.

“Dominic is a very well-regarded and experienced GT racer, so of course we’re delighted that he’s chosen to join CDR for his switch to single-seaters,” said Dittmann.

“Adapting across to Formula 3 is no easy feat, but I’m very confident Dominic will rise to the challenge and we’re optimistic of a good season ahead.

“Testing has been very positive so far, so we’re looking in strong shape heading to the first event at Donington Park next month.”
