CDR look to return to winning ways in F3 Cup at Snetterton

  • CDR aiming for return to the winner’s circle in MSV F3 Cup this weekend [26 Sep].
  • Tewkesbury-based team return to the scene of season-opening pole and victory at Snetterton 300 in Norfolk.
  • Trio set to bounce back after character-building weekend last time out at Donington Park.

Chris Dittmann Racing will be aiming for a return to winning ways when the MSV F3 Cup resumes at Snetterton this weekend [26 September].

The Tewkesbury-based team added another brace of podium finishes to their 2020 collection last time out at Donington Park, both in the hands of current championship leader Alex Fores and his Dallara Mercedes F3.

Fores arguably should have won the last race, but for contact and a slick pit stop from the team that allowed him to recover to fourth, whilst Patrick and Phillip Jeans did well to bring home points on a tough weekend.

The trio’s performance despite the setbacks has left confidence high heading into a condensed one-day event at the 2.99-mile Snetterton 300 circuit this weekend.

Fores will be aiming to repeat his season-opening pole position and race win to extend his advantage the top of the standings, whilst Patrick also tasted the champagne on the team’s last visit to Norfolk.

Qualifying kicks off the one-day event at 10:35, with races to follow at 13:30 and 16:30, with live coverage available on TSL Timing (www.tsl-timing.com).

Chris Dittmann, Team Principal:

“The race weekends are coming thick and fast for the whole team at the moment, but we’re excited to get back to our MSV F3 Cup title bid this weekend at Snetterton.

“It’s a case of ‘two down, two to go’ in the championship now and we’ve got the upper hand with Alex; Snetterton was a good circuit for him at the season opener, so hopefully we can get another pole and victory – at least – to cement his position at the front a little bit more.

“Patrick also had a podium on our last visit here, and both he and Phillip showed good pace in some trying circumstances at Donington last time out, so we’re all looking forward to seeing how they get on, too.”

Alex Fores (#90):

“I’m looking forward to MSV F3 Cup this weekend, a third race weekend for me in a row!

“We will be looking to build on the momentum we had last time out, and also returning to Snetterton for a second time this year will be will be pushing for even more wins.

“Moving past the half way point of the championship you start to look at points more seriously, so ideally we’ll be looking to leave Snetterton having extended our championship lead.”
