CDR ready for MSV F3 Cup curtain raiser at Snetterton

  • Tewkesbury team prepare to start title defence in MSVR F3 Cup.
  • Alex Fores, Phillip Jeans and Patrick Jeans set to lead the line for CDR at highly technical Snetterton 300 circuit.

Chris Dittmann Racing are set to begin their defence of MSV’s F3 Cup when the 2020 season begins this weekend (11-12 July) at Snetterton.

The Tewkesbury-based team stormed to the Drivers’ Championship crown last year, and arrive at the 2.99-mile Norfolk circuit with a fresh driver line-up in Alex Fores and father-son duo Phillip and Patrick Jeans.

Alex Fores will be aiming to repeat his title-contending form from Monoposto F3, with the Marlow driver piloting an ex-Valtteri Bottas Dallara-Mercedes F3 with the support of Bromfield Precision Engineering.

If he can match the five wins, twelve podiums and ten fastest laps achieved last year, then CDR will be well-poised for a repeat title success in MSVR’s premier single-seater category.

Despite being new to the series, Fores will also have the experience of new team mates Phillip and Patrick Jeans to draw on this weekend.

Patrick, who returns for a third year, will join Fores in the Cup Class, with Phillip set to contest the Invitation Class, having made his championship debut back in 2017.

Dominic Paul will also contest the 2020 season with CDR, but will unfortunately be absent for the season opener this weekend.

The competitive action begins with qualifying at 10:40 on Saturday morning ahead of the opening race at 14:20.

Sunday rounds out the weekend, with the final contest at 10:20.
