Chris Dittmann Racing is delighted to announce its first confirmed driver for the F4 British Championship this year, with debutant Charlie Edge competing with the team.
Charlie has been part of Chris Dittmann Racing’s driver development programme since mid-2024, beginning with simulator work before progressing to on-track testing towards the end of the year, in preparation for this season.
The 15-year-old from Worcestershire began racing indoor karts three years ago and won the outdoor N35 Lightweights Daytona Championship in 2023, securing 15 podiums. This success led to a drive in the Daniel Ricciardo ‘DRS100’ Series at the end of that year and into 2024, competing across nine race weekends and achieving several top 10 finishes.
Understanding that 2025 will be a learning year, the young driver has committed to a two-year programme with the team. His focus this season is on continuing his development and aiming for Rookie Cup podiums, with plans to make further strides in 2026.
Charlie’s participation this year is partly thanks to the support of DQS Consulting Ltd, which is committed to nurturing emerging talent and fostering excellence, along with Crimscote Construction, a company with over 50 years of experience in the building and construction industry.
Chris Dittmann Racing has been operational for 15 years, achieving success across various single-seater categories. The team has competed in the F4 British Championship for the past three seasons, securing the 2023 Rookie Cup title, along with eight overall podiums, 12 Rookie victories, and 24 total Rookie podiums.
The 2025 season will comprise 10 rounds and 30 races, kicking off at Donington Park over the weekend of 26th/27th April, with marquee events at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit and Zandvoort – home of the Dutch Grand Prix – before concluding at Brands Hatch in October.
