Chris Dittmann Racing displayed impressive pace during last weekend’s BRDC British Formula 3 Championship event at Snetterton (6-7 August), the second to last event of the 2016 season. The team was quick from the off at the Norfolk circuit, with American Quinlan Lall lapping the challenging 300 circuit very quickly during Friday morning practice. The 16-year-old was only edged out by championship leader Ricky Collard during the session, to kick the weekend off impressive style. The second half of the 2016 F3 Cup championship began with a tricky weekend at Oulton Park in Cheshire. Early morning rain meant Stuart Wiltshire, Tony Bishop and Malcolm Scott opted to head into qualifying with wet tyres on the slowly drying circuit. Despite further rain during the session all three improved late on in the session, with Wiltshire vaulting into the top six. That gain demoted team-mate Bishop to seventh and Scott to 10th. Chris Dittmann Racing is expecting to carry its race-winning form on to Oulton Park as F3 Cup reaches its midway point with a pair of races on July 16. Stuart Wiltshire, championship runner-up in 2015, claimed his first win at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, last time out to move into title contention. The Essex racer has been on the podium twice more in this season, and claimed third at Oulton Park last year. Team-mate Tony Bishop, who visited the podium at Donington Park in April, has been showing excellent pace recently and could have had a brace of wins at Brands Hatch.[…..]
Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR) claimed a solid points haul as the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship visited the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium last weekend (Friday 8 – Saturday 9 July). This was a first competitive visit to the famous Belgian Grand Prix venue for all three of CDR’s drivers, but Indian Krishnaraaj Mahadik put his car 16th on the grid for the first of the weekend’s three races ahead of American team-mate Quinan Lall in 17th and Kenyan Jeremy Wahome in 18th. Tewkesbury’s Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR) tasted victory in Europe in F3 Cup, as Stuart Wiltshire claimed his maiden race win at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium. At one of the world’s most famous and most challenging circuits, Wiltshire started from second on the grid but slipped back to third early on. F3 Cup returns this weekend with a visit to the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium for rounds seven and eight of 2016. Stuart Wiltshire and Tony Bishop will be expected to bounce back after difficult weekends at Brands Hatch, as both left with a brace of non-finishes apiece despite being at the head of the field. Bishop was unlucky in Kent, having been in potential race-winning positions in races one and two until spinning out. Tewkesbury BRDC British Formula 3 outfit Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR) left Silverstone circuit last weekend (11-12 June) with plenty of positives, following a difficult weekend in tricky conditions at the British Grand Prix host venue. CDR’s drivers put together a competitive showing in a dry qualifying session, with American Quinlan Lall leading the Gloucestershire team’s charge in 14th position. The first race was to be dry too, with Lall rising through the field to take 12th position, whilst Kenyan Jeremy Wahome claimed a 15th place finish, improving his best result since moving to the UK championship. The home of the British Grand Prix awaits for the Chris Dittmann Racing and rounds 13, 14 and 15 of the 2016 BRDC British F3 season on June 11-12. International trio Quinlan Lall, Krishnaraaj Mahadik and Jeremy Wahome head to Northamptonshire on the back of a promising weekend at Oulton Park on the May bank holiday, when all three enjoyed consistent running. During a close qualifying, American teenager Quinlan Lall claimed 13th, just over 1.1-seconds slower than pole. Krishnaraaj Mahadik, who came back from a heavy off in Friday testing, lined up a one row further back in 16th, with Jeremy Wahome 21st.
