Chris Dittmann Racing are aiming to end the 2020 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship season on a high note at Silverstone’s GP circuit this weekend [07-08 November].

The Tewkesbury-based outfit head to the ‘Home of British Motorsport’ to conclude a year in the UK’s premier single-seater category unlike any other, and buoyed by the recent performances from rising stars Josh Skelton and Max Marzorati.

Skelton’s rise to prominence in his Rookie season has been one of the championship’s biggest stories in 2020, and the Maryport-based driver is still on course for a top-six finish outright in a highly-competitive field at the first attempt.

His points-scoring record – among the best in the field – had another brace of top-ten finishes added to it last time out at Donington Park, and a repeat of his podium performances from earlier on in the campaign are on the cards around the 3.66-mile GP circuit.

Despite only contesting a part-season, team mate Max Marzorati’s start to life at CDR was equally impressive, and he heads to Silverstone – famous for hosting the Formula 1 ® British Grand Prix – aiming to score another career-best result and keep moving towards the sharp end of the grid.

After two positive test days pre-event, the team’s focus now shifts to the start of competitive action, beginning with qualifying at 10:50 on Saturday.

The opening race follows later that afternoon at 13:45, with two live-streamed races on Sunday at 09:20 and 11:50 respectively to round out the 2020 season.

Action can be found across British F3’s YouTube channel and social media platforms.

Chris Dittmann, Team Principal said:

“It’s been a strange year in so many ways, but some things never change, and the entire team is feeling the buzz ahead of this weekend’s season finale at Silverstone.

“For our drivers to have an opportunity to race on a Formula 1 ® circuit at this stage of their careers is fantastic, and I know both Josh and Max are relishing that opportunity.

“Their results of late have been very encouraging, and I’m confident they’ll deliver another strong points haul to send the team into the winter on a high note.”

Josh Skelton (#43) said:

“I’m really looking forward to this weekend, Silverstone GP is a mega circuit to drive!

“It’s been a great first year with CDR, and in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship. Now my focus is on some strong results to finish the season off on a high.”

Max Marzorati (#81) said:

“It’s great to be at Silverstone; it’s the first time I’ve done the full Grand Prix circuit, which my lack of experience is showing, however I’m loving all the support and development I’m getting from the team at CDR.

“Silverstone is an amazing place to be at, you grow up watching it, so to race here is like the next generation of tennis players getting a game at Centre Court at Wimbledon. I’m really excited to get into the weekend!”
