Chris Dittmann Racing confirms Henry Mercier for British F4 championship challenge

Chris Dittmann Racing is pleased to confirm their second driver signing for the 2026 Wera Tools British F4 season, with American racer Henry Mercier joining the race-winning team.

Henry impressed on his debut season in the British F4 series, converting a pole position at Oulton Park into second place overall and a Rookie Cup win, proving to be the highlight of a consistent season where he finished in the points ten times.

Born in Wyoming, USA, Henry moved with his family to Spain in 2021 where he discovered a love of karting. After demonstrating his abilities on the Spanish kart tracks, he is now firmly on his way up the single seater ladder. For 2026, the talented youngster will be looking to consolidate what he has learnt during his rookie season to go for outright victory.

The Wera Tools British F4 Championship will start on April 18th & 19th with the first three races taking place at the traditional season opening track of Donington Park in the East Midlands. From there, the 30-race calendar will take in Grand Prix venues at Zandvoort in Holland and the full Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, before finishing at Brands Hatch in mid-October.

As a major support series for the British Touring Car Championship, British F4 will once again enjoy live coverage on ITV, as well as racing in front of over 300,000 passionate motorsport fans.

Henry Mercier:

“I’m thrilled to be joining Chris Dittmann Racing for the 2026 season. They have proved that they are a top contender in this series. With the experience I gained last year and our combined commitment, I’m confident that we will have success next season. I’m really eager to get started!”

Chris Dittmann:

“We’re excited to welcome Henry to the team. He performed really well in his rookie season in British F4 and showed strong promise. Now that he knows not only the car, but the circuits, we will both be looking to go a step further and challenge for race wins and beyond.

“I certainly believe that Henry can be a title contender. Chris Dittmann racing has proven we can win races, so together we’ll be a very strong combination.”
