Chris Dittmann Racing enjoyed another podium in the Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA, as Tommy Harfield recorded his fourth overall top three of the 2025 season at Knockhill.
Dominating the Challenge Cup standings (for drivers competing in seven of the ten rounds), frustratingly it could be the talented young racer’s final appearance of the year unless further backing can be secured to complete the full season.
After practice on Friday, qualifying took place first thing on Saturday morning, with a red flag disrupting the early runs. Once the session resumed, Tommy finished eighth quickest, with teammate, F1 Academy racer and Ferrari Driver Academy member Alba Larsen in 18th, sixth of the Rookies.
In the opening contest later that afternoon, Tommy started from 11th and delivered a strong first lap, gaining four positions, while Alba moved forward two. Both then gained another place soon after, before Alba was forced to pit with front wing damage. This dropped her off the lead lap, but she rejoined and matched the pace of the leaders, underlining her speed.
Continuing to push, Tommy was rewarded in the closing minutes with a decisive move for fifth, before the race was halted early with a red flag. Post-race, he was handed a two-position penalty.
On Sunday morning, Tommy made another strong start, quickly moving into fourth, before the Safety Car was deployed following an incident that eliminated Alba through no fault of her own. On the restart, Tommy climbed into third, and soon after executed another pass to take second. He then opened a 2.5-second gap to the chasing pack and set the fastest lap as he closed in on the leader, ultimately running out of time to challenge for victory.
The final race began under Safety Car conditions after a competitor stalled on the grid, with Tommy holding sixth and Alba in 18th. Racing resumed, but the Safety Car was deployed again ten minutes into the 25-minute contest. When the action restarted, Tommy pressured the car ahead but was twice denied in his attempts to make a move.
He was unfortunate shortly afterwards when two rivals collided and he was forced across the grass in avoidance, though he maintained sixth position. Alba gained from a rival’s mistake to move into 16th before the race was red flagged after another incident and not resumed.
Chris Dittmann Racing will return to Wera Tools British F4 in two weeks’ time, as the series heads to Donington Park for three races on the full Grand Prix layout over the weekend of 30–31 August.

“Tommy delivered another excellent performance this weekend, with some superb race craft and overtaking moves that underline just how competitive he has become. We all hope the support can be found for him to complete the season, as he is showing he belongs at the sharp end of the grid. Alba also performed well at a very challenging circuit, and while some bad luck prevented the results her speed deserved, she continues to make strong progress with every outing.”
