CDR winner Ismail returns as team aims to end season on high

Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR) heads to the final event of the 2016 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship at Donington Park this weekend (10-11 September) with high hopes of a strong end to the season, bolstered by the return of Omar Ismail, who has won races for the team in the past, alongside full-time season regulars Jeremy Wahome and Krishnaraaj Mahadik.

Ismail, who previously raced and won for the team in the BRDC British F4 Championship, is substituting for Quinlan Lall for the final three races of the season following the interference of external factors. Ismail is an established quick driver who should challenge for the top-ten in all three races at the Leicestershire circuit.

Alongside Ismail, Mahadik and Wahome both return for the final meeting of what has been a season of improvement and learning in British motor racing. Despite their relative inexperience at racing on UK soil, both drivers have impressed by challenging for positions within the top-ten at points in the season, and both drivers will be looking forward to ending their campaigns on a high note.

Team Principal Chris Dittmann said: I’m looking forward to the final three races of the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship at Donington Park and I hope the team can end the season well. It’s unfortunate that Quinlan isn’t able to join us for the championship finale, but it’s great to have Omar back in the team. We’ve won together before and he’s a talented driver, so I’m hopeful of achieving some more good results together.

Jeremy and Krish have done very well in their first season of British motor racing, and it’s been great to watch the pair of them develop over the course of the season and pick up plenty of points for the team. I’m sure both of these young men will be keen to end the season well and achieve more good results for the team.
