Podium reward on difficult GB3 Championship weekend for Chris Dittmann Racing

Chris Dittmann Racing claimed a first podium finish of the season in the GB3 Championship on a weekend (May 28/29) which proved taxing for both team and drivers, as the series travelled to Donington Park. It was tough from the get-go for the team, as both drivers surprisingly struggled for the ultimate pace across two days of testing held before the event, which unfortunately continued into the weekend itself, McKenzy qualifying 12th for race one and Branden 19th. Having enjoyed a weekend off, Chris Dittmann Racing returned to action feeling refreshed and ready to take on the next rounds of both the F4 British Championship at Thruxton and the GB3 Championship at Donington Park in a double team effort. Chris Dittmann Racing enjoyed its best result in the F4 British Championship after an excellent drive by Joel Pearson on just his and the team’s second weekend in the closely fought single seater series. Coming straight from a busy GB3 weekend at Silverstone, the team travelled to Brands Hatch to continue its dual campaign. Chris Dittmann Racing continued its positive start to the GB3 Championship season with further point scoring finishes at the weekend (May 7/8), as the series had three races on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit. Qualifying was competitive, with the top ten drivers finishing within one second of each other, and after an unlucky session for both drivers, the races would be an upward battle for the team.
