Chris Dittmann Racing end race-winning British F4 season with strong Brands Hatch performance

Chris Dittmann Racing rounded off the 2026 British F4 season with determined recovery drives at Brands Hatch, as newcomer Alexander Vanchev made an encouraging debut alongside Tommy Harfield, Piotr Orzechowski and Daniella Sutton.

Alexander made steady progress throughout his first F4 race weekend, culminating in a ten-place gain in the finale, while Piotr climbed to 13th in race two and Tommy battled his way forward after a difficult opening race.

Race one began dramatically for the team. Tommy struggled off the line and dropped to 18th, while Daniella spun at Sheene Curve on the opening lap following a suspected tap from behind. Taking avoiding action, Alexander headed onto the grass to escape a collision with his new teammate.

Piotr held onto 22nd at the start and resisted pressure from Cameron Nelson, building a gap of more than a second before turning his attention to Leon Hedfors ahead.

Although Nelson closed back in, Piotr held firm to retain the position. Tommy finished 18th, just 0.020 seconds behind Mate Kobakhidze, while Alexander recovered to finish 25th two places ahead of Daniella.

Race two brought further progress, with Piotr gaining six places to finish 13th. Along the way, he benefited from Tommy’s brief excursion at Graham Hill Bend, although Tommy recovered to finish 17th, one place better than in the opener.

Alexander also continued to build confidence, climbing seven places with a drive that included an excellent move down the inside of Sun Anzhe. Daniella completed the race in 23rd.

The final race produced Alexander’s strongest result of the weekend. Gaining ten positions to finish 18th, the debutant capped a productive introduction to F4 with another confident drive through the field.

Tommy also ended the season with his best result of the weekend, finishing 13th after a close battle with Haarni Sadiq. Two places behind, Piotr had a more demanding race, defending at the head of a queue of cars after making progress in the early laps.

Daniella was involved in a closely fought battle further back before being forced wide at the exit of Druids. That left her fighting with Jackson Wolny, but despite searching for a way past, she was unable to make a move stick.

A challenging finale nevertheless gave all four drivers valuable experience, with Alexander’s progress across his debut weekend and strong recovery drives from Tommy and Piotr providing positives as the team brought its 2026 campaign to a close.

Chris Dittmann, Tem Principal

“I would say it was a mixed weekend. I think there were some great performances by Peter and Alex especially. This was Alex’s first-ever F4 race weekend, and for him to finish P19 in the last race was hugely impressive. He’s come on leaps and bounds over the weekend, playing catch-up compared to some much more experienced drivers.

“Tommy has had good pace here and there but struggled a little bit in qualifying, which put him on the back foot. The weekend doesn’t quite reflect his pace, but all in all, it was a really solid weekend, with lots of learning for all the drivers in a very tough field.”
