Chris Dittmann Racing is elated to confirm that Ayrton Simmons will return to the team for the 2021 BRDC British F3 season. Simmons is CDR’s most successful driver in the category, taking five wins and an additional seven podiums, as well as five pole positions with the Tewkesbury-based team. A full season in 2019 resulted in third place in the championship standings, with Simmons claiming more wins than the eventual champion, and was a finalist in that year’s Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Award. Ginetta Junior graduate Emily Linscott enjoyed a positive first test in a BRDC British F3 car at Donington Park yesterday (Thursday) as she continued preparations for a professional motorsport career. Tewkesbury’s Chris Dittmann Racing (CDR) ended its BRDC British F3 championship action for the season with three points-scoring finishes, and pace to challenge for the top-ten, despite beginning the weekend on the back foot at Donington Park last weekend (23-24 September). The team fielded a single car for Jeremy Wahome in the championship finale, and the young Kenyan performed well to qualify 13th after only arriving at the circuit on Saturday morning. As the championship heads towards its final stages, the CDR charge is nicely poised, with its drivers challenging for top ten placings in the championship.
