CDR heading for BRDC F3 midway point

The midway point of the 2016 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship arrives for Chris Dittmann Racing this weekend at Oulton Park in Cheshire.

After nine races, Quinlan Lall will be looking to move closer to the top 10 in the championship standings. The 16-year-old American has been fighting among the top 10 all season and running consistently quickly, currently sitting 13th in the championship.

Krishnaraaj Mahadik suffered a tough weekend last time out Rockingham Motor Speedway after an early qualifying spin put him on the back foot. Instead he’ll be looking to call on the form he showed at Brands Hatch, when he claimed sixth-place on his series debut.

Jeremy Wahome has been improving with every lap this season and offered glimpses of his potential pace. The Cheshire circuit is one he knows well, and could provide his best results of the season so far.

Chris Dittmann, team principal, said: I’m expecting a better weekend for Quinlan, Jeremy and Krish, Rockingham wasn’t the easiest. We know they can run all quickly and Oulton is a place they should be able to show it. We’ve spent plenty of time testing there.

I’m confident Krish can pick himself up after Rockingham and get some good results. Quinlan has added consistency and we’re now pushing him forward to break into the top six. It’s a talented field though, so it won’t be easy.

If they can come away with the results and points we know they can then it will set us up perfectly for the second half of the season.

Qualifying at Oulton Park begins at 11:10 on Saturday May 28, with the 14-lap race one starting at 15:20. Race two gets underway at 09:55 on Sunday before the third and final race taking place at 14:05.
